Two Wands

The Two Wands card shows us a conflict.

Two Wands

The Two Wands card shows us a conflict.

The card

In tarot, the wands stand for the areas of life of profession, career and talents. They symbolize our creative energies and are assigned to the element of fire.

Meaning

The Two Wands card shows us a conflict. On the one hand, it asks us to take the initiative and realize plans. We should be more self-confident and authoritative. But on the other hand, this can be particularly difficult for us now, because we are currently in a phase in which we are unable to motivate ourselves well, are reluctant to express a concrete opinion or take action. Our indecisiveness makes it difficult for us, but those who overcome the valley can not only motivate themselves, but also others, and will therefore soon reap the rewards.

Negative aspects

If the shadow side of the card is lived, we let ourselves down and do nothing to escape the lethargy. We are almost paralyzed, unable to take a stand and seem apathetic. For fear of making the wrong decision, we prefer to avoid it. Or we tend to live out the authoritarian side and start to rule over our fellow human beings. Neither path leads to the goal.

Love

Within a partnership, the signs are currently pointing to stagnation. We don't know exactly where the partnership is at the moment. Undecided about how to proceed, we let the relationship run on the side. In this way, however, we also miss out on the chance to strengthen the bond between us again.
When we are out and about as singles, we are also undecided as to how things should continue and whether a new acquaintance is worth deepening. With this behavior, we will probably remain single.

Profession

Right now it is important not to give up. Even if we are a little depressed and would prefer to keep quiet and not take a stand, we should make an effort to show more commitment. We should try to make everyday working life more exciting, but without ignoring the wishes of our colleagues.

Opposite view

Self-doubt or authoritarian: In principle, the same interpretation applies here as in the correctly turned card. The two wands address two dual behavioral patterns. On the one hand, inertia and indifference, and on the other, authority and independence. Depending on the personal situation, one or the other interpretation applies.

2 Wands - Card of the day

Even if you would like to avoid making a decision today, the Two Wands remind you that it is important to take a stand and then actively implement your decision. In this way, you can initiate important developments today.
