Walpurgis Night

The Walpurgis Night is named after the holy Walburga. She was a Benedictine abbess from England (710-779). Walburga is the catholic patron saint of plague, and her Walpurgis oil is said to have healing powers. She was also the patron saint of pregnant women and protected them from starvation. Even today, you can see a representation of St. Walpurga at the stained glass windows of Regensburg Cathedral.
After her canonization, the annual celebration took place there on 30 April. The nine days before that was called Walpurgis Days. Nine is a mystical number, which is also associated with witches. The figure stands for strength and mighty power.
Especially in Bohemia and Lower Austria, these days are celebrated. During this time, a window is always opened to protect the Walburga from ghosts. You should receive a piece of gold from her, as thank you.

Quote of the day

Witch’s one-times-one

This, you must ken!
From one make ten,
And two let be,
Make even three,
Then rich you'll be.
Skip o'er the four!
From five and six,
The Witch's tricks,
Make seven and eight,
'Tis finished straight;
And nine is one,
And ten is none,
That is the witch's one-time-one!

Daily aspects

Moon (Cancer) Square Uranus (Libra)

We may be eccentric, headstrong, hyper, irritable, and moody during this time. We are prone to changing moods. Willfulness may show itself in love. Do not make hasty decisions at this time. They tend to do exactly the opposite of what is expected of them. There could be unexpected challenges or rapid changes today. Fortunately, this aspect will pass after two hours.

Moon → Leo

The Leo Moon makes us dominant and confident. Since Leo is the symbol of self-expression, theater, and stage, we can define the orientation as external. You can be very creative. But flirting, pleasure and enjoyment are also part of those Leo days after all the whole world is ultimately one big stage and we are all actors.

If you are a writer, or an artist, you could get the opportunity to display, or publish, your work, and get recognition from the public, as well as money into your pocket. Romantic opportunities may arise through business dealings with foreigners, and the study of other cultures and the music and art that goes with that. This is a great aspect to feel happy, and "at one" with the world.
