Sarah Michelle Gellar was born on 14 April 1977 in New York. She is an American actress and producer best known for her role as Buffy Summers in the hit television series "Buffy - Under the Spell of Demons" (1997-2003). Gellar began her career as a child in various commercials and television series before her breakthrough came with "Buffy".

In addition to her starring role in "Buffy - Under the Spell of Demons", Sarah Michelle Gellar has appeared in numerous film and television projects. Her best-known films include "Cruel Intentions" (1999), "Scooby-Doo" (2002) and "The Grudge" (2004).

Sarah Michelle Gellar is married to actor Freddie Prinze Jr. and has two children with him. Despite her success in film and television, Gellar is best remembered by many fans as the fearless vampire slayer Buffy Summers.
